Griffith is a freeware DVD cataloging application that really works well. There is something about open-source projects that have the same functionality as commercial applications. They usually do the same, but for free. And sometimes, they even work better. Griffith could be one of those applications. I don't really own a DVD collection to give this application the time that it deserves, but so far, it looks promising. Griffith allows you to add all your movies to the GUI so that you know exactly how many movies you have and see all the information about them that you can. Adding a movie couldn't be easier. You simply type the name of the movie, and the application will connect to the IMDB database, among others, and fetch all the data that there is about the movie. So simply by adding a name, you get, the year the movie was released, who starred in it, reviews, artwork, posters, plots, etc. Also, you can import a list of movies in CSV format to add more than one movie at a time. That saves you a lot of time if you are really a movie aficionado. The latest version of Griffith is 0.9.9. However, this review deals with version 0.9.
