Grisbi is intended for your personal accounting. The application supports practically everything you need to do in this respect, which means that it can manage multiple accounts and transactions as well as generate various types of reports. Although Grisbi has a rather intuitive interface, it is quite likely that you will need to spend a lot of time in the initial configuration. Unfortunately, its manual is only available in French.
Grisbi can accommodate your needs by supporting multiple currencies and users. Likewise, it can manage multiple categories. It is also useful that there is a built-in scheduler to help you plan due payments before the agreed deadlines.
Fortunately, the application supports importing data from various formats, including GnuCash, QIF, OFX and CSV. Regrettably, however, it can only export to QIF and CSV. Luckily, it is quite convenient that the tool can backup and archive your database using strong encryption. Still, there is danger that you may lose all the information if you happen to forget your password.
In general, Grisbi is highly recommended to help you with your finances. Good news is that this product is open-source, and you can use it without any cost. Donations are encouraged, though.
v1.2 [Apr 22, 2019]
The new version (1.2.2) of Grisbi is available for download. It essentially fixes some bugs.
