Microsoft Outlook is great in its support of various add-ons, and gSyncit has quickly become one of the most useful of those. It works as a bridge between Outlook and Google Chrome, allowing the user to synchronize Outlook calendars, contacts, notes and tasks with a selected Google account.
This little extension also adds support for synchronization between Outlook and several popular online services used by people to organize their lives, including Toodledo, Pocket Informant Online, Evernote, Dropbox, Simplenote, Nozbe, CalDav, and CardDav.
gSyncit is regularly updated, and its newer versions have recently added support for Google API and new Toodledo v3 API., Wunderlist task syncing, iCloud syncing, AOL syncing, Yahoo integration, and much more.
gSyncit has built-in protection against duplication of elements and files available via the synchronized accounts by entry matching. Data saving is secured by automated regular syncing of contents with subsequent duplicate removal, if any are found. Users can access flexible settings in order to select what they wish to sync and save.
gSyncit is surprisingly versatile for an Outlook extension and can easily be recommended.
v3.4 [Mar 2, 2012]
Selected Outlook distribution lists with Gmail groups. We are not aware of any other Google contact sync application that supports this functionality.
Supports for using the Outlook 2010 Ribbon interface and animated the gSyncit tray icon when a sync is in progress.
Supports the ability to sync Gmail notes to Outlook. This is a one-way sync allowing iOS (iPhone, iPod Touch) users to sync notes from their Apple mobile device to Gmail and then finally to Outlook. It is important to note again that this is a one-way sync from Gmail to Outlook.
Configure the task sync process to synchronize Outlook tasks with different Google task lists using the assigned Outlook category. This feature removes the need to create multiple task sync mappings for different categories.
Added support for syncing and managing Outlook tasks and notes with the Toodledo service available via the web and on most mobile devices.
