Hanso Player 4.0

A lot of people are still struggling to find an audio player that they feel comfortable with. Extremely popular applications, like Winamp, offer many features but also require a lot of your CPU resources. An alternative solution comes from Hanso Player, a small, yet stylish, player.

Hanso Player features a modern design, with a minimalistic interface. It has most of the functions that you would expect from any standard audio player, like shuffle, repeat, equalizer etc. Moreover, it can run from the system tray, thus not interfering with your work space.

Hanso Player offers a handy playlist editor that allows you to create and save as many playlists as you wish. A thing that I like about this tool is that you can enable filtering option, which doesn't allow you to add the same song twice. Furthermore, if you want to listen to your songs in a specific order, you will be able to queue the files in your playlist, the way you want to.

Another plus for Hanso Player is that the application lets you edit ID3 tags. This means that with the help of the program you can add a lot of important information like album title, year, genre etc. to your audio files.

Hanso Player also has a few disadvantages. The program can work with a relatively small number of audio formats and it only offers two skins. Additionally, the equalizer is hard to control, as the volume control bars are very small.

In conclusion, Hanso Player isn’t a program that I would actually recommend. The application has too many flaws to be a “must have”, but it’s still effective and you don’t have to pay to use it, so it could be worth trying out.
