As the name of the program suggests, HEIC Converter is a Mac tool capable of performing image conversions from HEIC format to either JPEG or PNG format. By performing this file conversion, users are able to migrate these images to more popular image formats.
From an aesthetical point of view, the app's appearance resembles to a program's main window, where it embeds a Drag and drop function, so that users can easily add the files to be converted. The response to user actions is good, but it would've been nice to have a more stylish menu and at least some basic background customizations.
As per what it can do, HEIC Converter has an intuitive conversion process. Once you've add the image to be converted, you have to select the desired output format and the destination folder from the Preferences tab.
The conversion is quite fast and the app manages to preserve the image quality and its metadata.
To sum it up, HEIC Converter is a simple but effective image converter, not to mention that it's free.
