Heroes of Might and Magic V: Hammers of Fate is the first expansion pack to the strategy game Heroes of Might and Magic V. This pack presents several enhancements over the original game. The most remarkable content included was the addition of the new Fortress faction, made of Dwarves, with exclusive access to runic magic. Also it brings three new campaigns, continuing the original game's storyline along with a wide variety of standalone scenarios. Players will also find fourteen new artifacts, three new creatures and additional campaign heroes included, as well as a map and campaign editor which was not present in the original game. The storyline begins from some time after the story in Heroes of Might and Magic V. Queen Isabel has gone back to her empire, but the people notice on her a different queen, not the same one that went to Sheogh. Fryeda, the daughter of Godric, is sent of to stop "rebels" as Queen Isabel calls them. And the battles begin...
In multiplayer games the simultaneous turn-based mode allows all players on a map to move their units without waiting for the other players during a turn.
