JoinNet is the HomeMeeting's client software, connecting to the HomeMeeting Server, for video conferencing, white-board presentation, synchronized web browsing, desktop and application sharing, remote PC control, and recoding file playback.
All the users' online activities will be recorded and can be reviewed anytime, anywhere. To facilitate better team collaboration and to keep a better record of teamwork, a team leader can organize individual JoinNet users into several teams and ask them to discuss assignments or special topics using HomeMeeting, or submit their reports by using JoinNet recording files.
v5.5 [Jul 9, 2012]
- Facilitator. Meeting Owner, and Meeting Owner only, can assign the role of Facilitator to any meeting participant to help Token Holder and Meeting Owner for better meeting control. Five tasks can be assigned to Facilitator: Accept Visit, End Meeting, Allow/End Question, Just-in-Time Polling, and Synchronized Whiteboard. These tasks are exclusively assigned; for example, if Accept Visit is assigned to Facilitator, Meeting Owner won’t be able to accept visitor, unless Meeting Owner uncheck the task(s) assigned from the Facilitator. Although the tasks of synchronized Joint Web Browser, Shared Desktop and Remote Control are still assigned to Token Holder, but participants have to switch to these modes manually in order to follow Token Holder’s action.
- Auto Private Note. Once a slide is downloaded to the Whiteboard, a copy of the slide will be copied to Private Note immediately.
- Pause Remote Control. During a remote control session, the Controlee can PAUSE the control by the Controller while the Controlee’s screen or window still being shared to all meeting participant. The Controlee can UN-PAUSE (RESUME) control anytime.
- New Whiteboard Tools. New drawing tools, solid rectangle, oval, and polygon, are added to the Whiteboard and Private Note. In addition, PNG file format is now supported.
