iChiso Data Rescue is an app that lets you scan your hard drives for files that you may have accidentally deleted or otherwise lost. As you may know, when data is deleted, it might still be recoverable, but you should be careful not to carry out any write operations on the hard drive that the data was stored on, or you may lessen your chances of recovering your data.
When you first start the application, you will see some on-screen help and tips on what you should do to improve your chances of recovering your files. Then, you can start scanning your hard drives. The process will take some time depending on the size and speed of your hard drives. The stock hard drives in most Macs will probably allow the app to scan 100 gigabytes per hour. During the scan, the app will start showing you the number of files that it has recovered, along with their extensions. You can stop the scan at any time to attempt to recover the found files.
Unfortunately, the application doesn't seem to have filtering or previewing features. These are two very important features that every data recovery app should have.
