iconStiX is a Mac utility for creating icon files and for changing the icons of your desktop folders. The application provides you with a wide range of editing options, works with multiple image formats, and offers you the quality output files you need within moments.
You have access to a sample file which you use for testing the program's editing functions. Once you're ready to start your own project, go to the main menu of the app and click the "New" button.
On the right side of the interface you will notice various editing options. You can attach text content to your icon, include an image from your local directories or add a geometrical shape to your design project. The app lets you choose between various output profiles and gives you access to high-quality icon files.
The only thing I'd add to this program would be an integrated help manual. A built-in guide might prove to be of good use to people who are new with this type of Mac applications.
In conclusion, it's worth buying this utility for your Mac if the aforementioned aspect doesn't mean much to you. iconStiX provides you with many useful features and comes with a very reasonable price.
