iCoolsoft AVI Converter for Mac is a video conversion utility that you can use to convert your AVI files to a variety of other formats, and other files to AVI. Both the input and output format support is great; most of the modern formats can be opened without any problems. There are also conversion profiles for a variety of devices, including the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, smartphones, mobile phones and other multimedia playback devices.

The three most popular formats that are generally used in the AVI container: H.264, DivX and XviD, are available. However, there aren't many AVI-specific options that you can change other than quality, frame rate and resolution.

There is a video editor that lets you trim and crop your videos and adjust some of their properties, and a video player that you can use to view your files before converting them.

This converter works well, and it has a great format support. The only thing I am not convinced about is the price. Other converters by iCoolsoft support the AVI format and most of the formats included in this one, and cost only a fraction of what this one is sold for. I didn't find any unique features in this app to justify the price, to be honest.
