iCoolsoft DVD to FLV Converter for Mac is a DVD ripper that can be used to convert your movies to FLV and SWF so that you can upload them to your website. That is the application's main use, but since the output format support is not restricted in any way, you can also use this app to convert your movies to other formats, such as H.264, MPEG-4, 3GP, VOB, and MKV, among many others. There are also conversion profiles for the usual devices, including the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, gaming consoles, and mobile phones.

Like all the other DVD rippers by iCoolsoft, this one comes with a player that you can use to view your DVD titles before converting them and a video editor, which comes in handy when you need to trim or crop titles. It also lets you adjust brightness, contrast and saturation.

When you rip your DVD movies to FLV and SWF, you will get a single video file that you can later upload to your server and then link to your website for streaming. This application will not create an HTML file for you to use with the converted video file.

In my testing, I converted a single DVD title which I trimmed to a 1-minute FLV clip. The whole process took about 40 seconds. The resulting file looked good enough and the audio was fine as well. The resolution used for converting to FLV by default is 320x240, but you can change this value from the settings.
