iCoolsoft Ringtones Maker for Mac is a simple tool that lets you create ringtones out of video or audio files. It is basically a simple audio edition tool that you can use to trim your files into smaller audio clips. You can load pretty much any modern file, including MKV, MOV, H.264, MPEG-4, MP3, WAV, and AAC, among many others. Once you have loaded your file, you can use the built-in trimmer to cut down your files and then select one of the available formats for conversion. Fourteen different audio formats are available. If you are an iPhone user, the format that you need is M4R. Having created your ringtone, you can simply drag and drop it into iTunes to add it to your phone.
Unlike similar ringtone creation tools, this one doesn't include a waveform that you can use to trim your clips accurately. It also doesn't let you add fade in and fade out effects to the clips that you make. Basically, this app looks like a stripped-down video converter, without support for video formats. Some drop-down menus that are used in video converters, such as the subtitles track and audio tracks were not even removed from the graphical user interface.
