iLogFood is a program for Mac that provides you with an easy way to keep record of your daily food consumption. This food diary application comes in handy whenever you try to keep up with a diet and need to monitor the meals you eat on a daily basis.
You can write a description for each meal along with its ingredients, find out when the last time you ate a certain dish was, and check your food intake from previous days. I like the fact that the program automatically saves any data you write so that you won't have to worry about backing up the food info every time you make an alteration to your food diary.
I didn't like the fact that you can't add or remove meal categories from the list. Furthermore, the program lacks a weight tracker and calories and carbohydrates ratio feature which come in handy when trying to lose weight and monitor the food consumption.
To conclude, iLogFood proves to be of good use only if you intend to monitor the food you're eating on a daily basis. Hence, the program wouldn't provide you with the assistance you need if you wish to lose weight and keep track of your progress.
