IM Magician is a handy free video chat application. This program works with any broadband network and even with a dial-up network. IM Magician was developed to work as an additional utility and as a standalone application. It is used with other chatting programs, such as Skype, MSN, QQ, Yahoo Messenger and others. IM Magician extends these programs’ functions, providing them with interactive video and makes your chat more interesting.

IM Magician-standalone application is used as a PC Camera program, which can capture images, record and playback audios and videos. This program allows you to work with both still images and video content.

The program provides you with many editing and designing tools. You can make pictures of any resolution, choose the pictures format (jpeg, bmp, tiff, png), picture quantity per session, make date stamp, use flash light, zoom function and motion detection. Besides, you can use the "Settings" menu to select the appropriate brightness, hue, sharpness, saturation and contrast.

In addition, during the picture creating process you can use various special effects to change the images’ texture. Moreover, there is an animation, beautiful frames, masks (this option works only if there is a face in the picture area) and a library that also can be added to design you pictures. You can enlarge your library and download the effects you like from the developer’s site by clicking the “More” button. Then there is the interesting "Magic Mirror" menu option. It contains hogging, distortion and grip effects. All these effects can be used with video chatting programs. You should select the desired effect, then open the video program and have a pleasant chat.
