iMacsoft iPad to Mac Transfer allows you to transfer data from your iPad. It can be used to backup your iPad's music or photos back to your Mac. By default, when you connect your iPad to your Mac and run this app, it will display your music, movies, books, ringtones, photos, contacts, and purchased items.
When I tested this application, it didn't have any problems to find my iPad. It immediately showed the iPad model, capacity and even the serial number, and it showed me how much space I had used in music, photos, etc. Copying an item back to my Mac was easy as checking it and clicking on the copy button.
There are a few problems that I noticed with this app. First, the buttons had no descriptions, so it was hard to figure out what button does what. Some features you can access from the MenuBar, but others you will have to go through a little trial and error. Another thing that I did not like was that I wasn't shown snapshots of my pictures. I could only see their names (and those aren't very helpful). This app also can't download books that you have on the iBooks app.
All in all, the app works well, but it has some interface problems.
