iMacsoft Video to Audio Converter is a commercial converter. It can be used to convert your video files into audio files. This basically discards a video track of a file and saves an audio track only. It is a useful application when you want to save your concerts or soundtracks for playback on an MP3 player.
The application looks and behaves like any of the other iMacsoft converters that I have tried. All that you have to do is to load a video file and then select one of the conversion profiles from the profile drop-down menu. The supported output formats are AAC, AC3, AU, M4A, MP2, MP3, OGG, WAV and WMA. There is also a profile that reads WMV (Windows Media Video), but that converts files to MP3, as well.
The application has a video player and a trimmer. You can use the trimmer when you don't want to convert an entire file. The video player is functional and can play AVI and MKV files without any problems.
In short, iMacsoft Video to Audio Converter is a nice converter that tackles a very specific need. It works well and it is cheaper than other video converters by iMacsoft.
