ImageGlass is a great image viewer that offers a lot of features for those who need to work with images. ImageGlass is a utility that comes as an alternative to using Windows' Photos tool for previewing pictures on your PC. Unlike Photos, this program lets you choose from a wide variety of preview modes and enables you to convert your images between various formats.
ImageGlass is compatible with many image formats (more than 70 formats), from popular ones like JPEG, GIF or BMP to RAW and SVG. Other useful features include the support for drag-and-drop actions, the ability to quickly share or print the imported photos, and the fact that it's distributed in many languages.
Besides previewing your picture collection in various modes, you can also use ImageGlass to convert your photos between multiple formats. The conversion option can be found in the main menu of the utility.
This program version comes with many new capabilities, improvements, and bug fixes. Sadly, clicking the Edit button still takes you to your default image editor/viewer instead of giving you access to built-in editing features. Windows' Photos tool provides you with various editing options, such as the ability to crop, apply visual effects, etc.
However, ImageGlass might prove be a great replacement for Windows' Photos if you don't require image editing capabilities. It's easy-to-use, supports many image formats, and is open source.
