ImageSize is intended to resize, rename and convert images. The tool supports a wide array of picture formats, including JPG, JPEG, JPE, JP2, JPX, PNG, TIFF, TIF, GIF, BMP, HEIC and HEIF, for both input and output.

The tool has a compact interface with no hidden features. There is a central panel onto which you can drag-and-drop the desired files. It is a shame that, although batch conversion is supported, the tool does not allow importing entire folders. A main element of the interface is the panel on the right, which has two tabs: Resize and Output.

The Resize tab is where you can go to configure the output size. Luckily, there are many ways in which you can do that. There is a free resize mode, which lets you enter the exact dimensions. In this respect, you can use pixels or percentage values. Besides, you can decide to keep the aspect by automatically recalculating width or height when one of the values changes. Additionally, the app lets you change the resolution (DPI) of your pictures.

The Output tab, in turn, allows picking a different target format, and depending on which one you choose, you can adjust other quality parameters. Similarly, you can use renaming patterns to give your files a more descriptive name. Unfortunately, you cannot rename images based on their EXIF data. By the way, you can also decide whether you want the original EXIF info retained in the output files or not. Finally, it is important to pick an output folder.

All in all, ImageSize is very convenient for performing various operations involving batches of images. For instance, you can use it to downsize pictures you want to share with others or upload them to a website. The product is available from both the developer’s site and the Mac Store.
