As the name suggests, Importer for Contacts is a program that imports details from Excel and CSV files and converts them to vCards. The app has a straightforward installation process and doesn't take too much time to complete.
It comes wrapped in a common Mac app interface, with well-delimited space, and responsive buttons. It consumes a small amount of CPU and it has a fast learning curve. It doesn't have extra skin themes and the font style could've been more stylish.
Moving on to its capabilities, the app supports line breaks in CSV and tab-delimited text file fields and lets users save field mappings as separate import setups. More, individuals can perform automatic group assignments.
Other supported features are the import of embedded pictures, automatic group restoration and custom labels.
An important function is the ability to exact a comma from an import field, not to mention the fact that it comes with an interactive preview to determine the character encoding of the import file.
All things considered, Importer for Contacts is a useful tool to use if you want to import contact details from files and export them to vCards.
