ImTOO 3D Movie Converter is a video conversion tool. It was designed to carry out three different conversion tasks dealing with 3D content. The first one is to convert a standard 2D movie into a 3D video so that you can watch it on your TV. According to the application, the 3D effect will be visible both on regular TVs and 3D TVs. The second task is for those who don't own 3D TVs. It converts a 3D movie file into a red and cyan anaglyph 3D format. This is a stereoscopic 3D effect that should let you see 3D content with the appropriate glass, even if you don't have a 3D TV. The last task is a 3D to 2D video conversion. You can use it to eliminate 3D effects from your movies.
When you launch the application, you will see the three tasks that I described above and you can click on one of them to get started. A new window will appear when you select a task, and some on-screen help will guide you through the process.
During my testing, I converted an MKV sample file into both an anaglyph and a side-by-side video. The conversion process took around 2 minutes for a 1-minute long video. The results were good. The converted files looked exactly like a 3D movie looks at the movie theater without glasses on. I don't have the 3D glasses to test the quality of the conversion process, but, to the naked eye, the files looked like they were 3D.
