ImTOO DVD to iPod Converter is a multi-format DVD ripper. It can be used to convert DVD movies into video or audio files that play well on the iPod. As you may know, the iPod, and nearly every device made by Apple, plays files that are encoded using H.264 or MPEG-4. So, the files that you convert using this app will be playable on other devices as well. There are eleven different conversion profiles for video, some of them are for the iPod nano while the rest are for the various generations of the Touch.
The graphical user interface is very responsive and it looks good. It is still identical to that of ImTOO's Windows products, but I don't really hate this one.
In terms of performance, ImTOO DVD to iPod Converter works very well and it supports most video files as input. There is a video previewer and some very basic video editing features.
Unfortunately, you will have to go through an installation wizard to install this app. It is not a big deal, but it is more time-consuming than just dragging the .app file to the Applications folder.
All in all, this is a commercial ripper that works well, but you can find much better and less expensive apps out there.
