In the near future, humanity has joined the galatic community. Our hero is a operative-for-hire, an expert at getting things done.
Their latest job: track down and rescue a number of twenty-something young women who have runaway from a mysterious academy, where they had been trained to become assassins, spies and tacticians for the rich and powerful.
Of course, the runaways have their own goals in mind. They make an offer our hero finds impossible to refuse and together they must face off against an ancient force with horrible agenda.
Visual novel with a story that you actually want to read, and characters that are actually interesting. |
Roguishly travel the galaxy in your personal spaceship, facing dangers on a grand quest with lives at stake. |
Gather the runaways and build a harem capable of overcoming the evil you must face. |
Delve into the character arcs for each of the runaways, and try to resist their seduction... If you think you can. |
Spend time in one of the many exclusive guildhouses scattered about the galaxy, and be pampered with luxuries only afforded to the best of the best. |
Whittle away the time with very, ah-hem, 'easygoing' fellow rogues. |
Face decisions that will determine the face of the runaways. How far are you willing to go to complete your quest? Will you be ruthlessly driven by your goal, or will you attempt to find a way for everyone to survive and risk ultimate failure? |
Think of the story of a classic sci-fi game crossed with the structure of a time-based narrative RPG, but in a package that a solo dev can manage. And since it's a solo dev, you know it's lovingly crafted and carefully put together. |
Descriptions reference the intended final game
I started this as a writing exercise, but it grew way beyond that! Still, it's very narrative-focused -- but I've tried to balance visual novel style story missions with more freeform interactivity.
The focus is on developing characters and world building, as well as giving you the opportunities to interact with the denizens of the galaxy as you see fit.
I'm trying to make sure that the characters actually act their ages, and have their own agendas and impact on the story. This should feed into the adult content, and make it interesting. After all, when things get exciting, what's the point unless you believe in the characters and the world around them?
Another goal is to build a true story arc to make you feel like you're living in your favorite fantasy/sci-fi TV show -- you know, that one with all the nudity?
I really do hope you find it interesting!
Interstellar Harem is intended for adult audiences only, and contains descriptions of sexual activities as well as images of an adult nature.
This is an early preview build. That said, I think it's still fun as a standalone! It's what we call a vertical slice: meaning that it's polished but the story is incomplete and the freeform features are limited.
There is about 2-3 hours of gameplay (depending on how fast you read!)
Since this project has some experimental ideas, I'm looking for player feedback to understand if this is the kind of game people want to see fully developed (I think it is, but I'm looking for objective validation).
Download for free, don't feel pressured to pay! Comments and feedback are more valuable to me.
If you like, you can contribute ideas for features you think would improve the game in it's final form. Eg, user generated stories support, 3rd person environments, side stories, whatever! I can't make any promises, but I am a capable dev and can handle difficult things.
Thank you for reading this far. Go on, download already!
