iPubsoft PDF to Text Converter is a straightforward application that helps you extract PDF content in order to save it into TXT file format. This way, you will be able to alter the text of PDF files, so that you can use the extracted information with your favorite word processor.
The program's interface is clear-cut, intuitive, and attractive. All main features are conveniently placed right there at hand on the main window, except for a proxy server option found in the "Preferences" menu – however, I couldn’t figure out how such function may help you with the conversion.
You can import one file at a time or multiple items at once. For fast processing, adding entire folders of files is also allowed. Loading files is done easily, either by browsing your computer from within the application in search of the PDFs you want to convert, or – much easier – by using the drag-and-drop method. Once the files are imported, the list panel displays information about each source item, such as the name, the size, and the total number of pages. To check the correct import of files, a preview window is provided. Unfortunately, the page display is rather small, so you can't actually read the content of the PDF – still, the page layout will give you a clue whether you loaded the right items or not. A good thing about this program is that you are not forced to convert the entire PDF file – partial conversion is supported by selecting a range of pages.
In short, iPubsoft PDF to Text Converter is a good, reliable, and stable PDF converter, yet a bit pricey considering that OCR text recognition isn't provided.
