3GP is a video file format commonly found in phone camera files. And there are a great number of mobile devices including HTC Hero, HTC touch, HTC desire, BlackBerry, Nokia etc. recording video clips in 3GP. It’s easy to play 3GP video file on Mac OS which is supported by the native media player—QuickTime and can be managed in iTunes. Well, the 3GP video files are not universal but would be refused by lots of players and devices. For example, you can manage 3GP video files but can’t transfer them to your iPhone for playback or edit in iMovie, and you also are unable to play 3GP video on PSP. On the other hand, phones usually support 3GP or some other particular formats. For instance, you can’t import MOV files to BlackBerry for playback.
