Jet Screenshot is intended to capture and share images. It can replace the standard PrintScreen method provided by your system and add a varied set of other functions. It has an intuitive interface, which makes it appropriate for any kind of users.

The application can capture your whole desktop or selected parts of it. For example, you can capture the active window or a given region. Moreover, it even supports capturing the contents of a scrollable window, which is not possible to do with the traditional method. For each of these functions, there is a default key combination but you can also customize them according to your preferences.

This application also lets you make changes to the screenshots before saving or sharing them. For this purpose, there is a set of standard tools, like Pen, Text, Ruler, Shapes, Lines, etc., that you can use to draw on the captured image. Besides, you can crop the desired area.

Various sharing options are available. You can simply save the captured image to a file (JPG or PNG) or copy it to the clipboard to make it accessible to other applications by pasting. Moreover, if you create an online account at the developer’s site, you can also upload the file to an FTP server or to a website. In both cases, the program generates a link that you can send to the intended recipient via e-mail. Fortunately, if you do not have a direct Internet connection, you can configure a proxy connection as well.

All in all, Jet Screenshot is a very useful tool for screen capturing. It surpasses other similar tools that I have tested in terms of available functions and quality of the results. Although the program is distributed free, it has the limitation of watermarking the screenshots. Besides, to be able to share images over the Internet, you will need to buy a limited-time license.
