Jitsi is an excellent tool for creating online conferences with contacts from different messaging services. It is easy to set up and use and offers a wide range of features, such as text messaging, voice and video chat, and even file sharing. The integration of SIP, GoogleTalk, XMPP, .NET Messenger, and Yahoo! Messenger protocols is especially useful for connecting with a variety of contacts. Overall, Jitsi is an excellent choice for anyone looking for an efficient and reliable way to communicate with contacts.
Jitsi is a program that allows you to make audio and video calls using VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol).
Using this solution, you can connect to such accounts as Google Talk, ICQ, IRC, and more. Thus, you will have access to your voice and video chat accounts from one single space.
You can also add new contacts from your existing accounts, as well as create chat rooms and groups. This way, you can create a virtual family reunion, a remote work meeting, and so on.
Maybe the main drawback of the program is that many of the services it uses have been surpassed by more recent solutions like WhatsApp, Skype, or Facebook Messenger. Also, since it is an open-source program, it is marked as unsafe by Google Talk, making it impossible to use within the service.
Also, although the program's creators claim you can use a new account on Ippi, I failed to do so. Finally, the interface looks as if it was made in the 90's, making it unattractive for current tastes.
The program is free to download and use, so you can try it to see if it can be useful for you.
