Joboshare DivX to DVD Converter is a DVD authoring tool. It can be used to convert your DVD movies so that you can burn them on a blank DVD. The application makes the process incredibly easy. Even beginner Mac users can tackle this task without any problems. The first step is to load the files that you want to work with. DivX, XviD and MPEG-4 files will work just fine.
After your files are loaded, you can optionally use the built-in video editor to trim the videos to shorter clips. The app comes with a number of menus which will appear when you insert your movie in a DVD player. There are different templates available. All come with a default background picture, but you can use your own image. You can also add a music file that will play in the background when the menu is active. If you don't add a menu, your files will begin playing when you insert the disc. After you are done with the above, you can click on the "Convert" button. This application does not come with a DVD burner. You will need a separate app for that. It can however create ISO files, which you can burn using Disk Utility.
Users whose Macs run on PowerPC processors will be happy to know that there are two versions of the app available for download. There is one for PowerPC and another one for Intel processors.
