Karawin is a multimedia program, capable to play several popular audio formats like kar, midi, mp3 and kok. As you can see, this program is intended to be mainly a karaoke player, wherein you can attach lyrics to your songs and play them on a separate window using DirectX rendering.
KaraWin Free is a very feature-limited edition, because it acts simply as a karaoke player, so you cannot perform several operations like lyrics editing. In fact, when exploring the different program options you will get several nag screens "only available in std or pro version", really annoying.
But the worst part is the user interface: the program is plagued with blurry icon buttons scattered everywhere over the program's window, so it's very difficult to get started with it. But in more general terms, the user interface and dialogs look rather old, text labels are difficult to read.
My own thoughts about this program are: if you are looking for a good player, there are some others really better (by far), say Winamp or AIMP2, with the corresponding plug-in will do the trick for sure.
