The KeyPad app on your iPhone/iPod Touch communicates over WiFi to KeyPad Server running on your computer. The KeyPad app sends short instructions when controls are tapped, and KeyPad Server translates to particular operations within some desktop applications such as Adobe Photoshop or Google SketchUp. The communication between iPhone and the computer is done securely over your LAN.
