Lakhpati Didi: A Comprehensive Income Tracking App

Lakhpati Didi is a free Android app developed by NRLM-MoRD under the Business & Productivity category, specifically designed to help SHG households and their members track their income before and after being a part of NRLM fold. DAY-NRLM has been actively working towards improving the livelihoods of self-help groups (SHGs) and their member households by focusing on farm and allied sector activities as well as non-farm activities. Approximately one in six women have been reached through these efforts. However, there is still significant work to be done in this area, as it is likely that many poor SHG households and members are engaged in activities and generating income that is not being accounted for. Tracking the impact of livelihood interventions on income enhancement has proven to be a challenge.

The platform is a step towards understanding the current status of livelihood and income of SHG member households.

To gain a better understanding of the current status of livelihoods and income among SHG members, the mission aims to collect detailed information on income before and after joining the NRLM program. This includes capturing data on income-generating activities such as livestock, agriculture, and manufacturing, as well as the frequency and range of income. Additionally, the mission seeks to link SHG members' SECC tin numbers and Aadhar numbers for better identification and tracking. Another aspect being addressed is the need to change the language of instruction.
