Lavasoft Privacy Toolbox is a security suite for Windows. This application is a bundle of two Lavasoft applications: Lavasoft Digital Lock and Lavasoft File Shredder. The first one allows you to encrypt files on your computer to send them or just to encrypt your hard drive contents. It boasts AES 256 bits encryption and includes a free reader for the recipients of the files that you send. It works flawlessly and will ensure that your files can never be peaked at by anyone but the person you authorize to. The security is password-based. The second application, File Shredder, will permanently delete your files so that no one can recover them using file recovery solutions. Even when you delete or format your hard drives, the files remain hidden. Using this application, you will make sure that they are gone for good. Lavasoft Privacy Toolbox features a Shredding Bin, which is a little icon on your desktop. All the files that you drag to that icon will be shredded. This is a nice feature that saves a lot of time, since you can use it just like you use your Recycle Bin.
