Leawo Data Recovery for Mac 3.5.8

This application is exactly what its name implies: a utility designed for Mac that helps you restore data. The program can be used if you deleted files by accident or your system got infected with a virus. Leawo Data Recovery for Mac provides you with a quick solution for getting back your lost files with minimum effort.

You can choose between three data restoring modes: File Recovery, Photo Recovery, and Lost Partition Recovery. In my testing, I tried the first two restore modes. The application took a while to scan the contents of my Mac and retrieve the selected found files. However, it offered me an option to preview the found data and a helpful search tool to find the documents I needed to restore.

Leawo Data Recovery for Mac supports a wide variety of storage devices such as USB drives, SD cards, mobile phones, and many others.

Furthermore, the program lets you choose which types of formats to search. This way, you can decrease the waiting time for the scanning process to be complete and preview only the file formats you need to recover. Unfortunately, there's no option to select a folder for scan. You can only choose an entire partition or storage device from a list.

Two things bothered me a lot while testing this app: it lacked Pause and Resume buttons for the scan and it occasionally crashed.

Even though it supports many storage devices and file formats, the aforementioned flaws are very important. Personally, I wouldn't pay as much as Leawo Data Recovery for Mac costs for a program that works poorly.
