Before starting the recording process it's imperative to customize the app's settings according to your needs: you can choose the proper audio source, output format and profile, and much more. The tool also offers you an option to automatically split the recording when it detects silence.

Furthermore, you can schedule audio recordings, create music playlists, send the sound files to iTunes libraries, and play the recorded files directly from the app's interface.

The application brings some disadvantages: it supports only three output formats (MP3, WAV, and M4A) and doesn't allow you to change the genre field of your audio recording file. Plus, the program occasionally fails to download and complete file information.

To conclude, Music Recorder is a simple tool that helps you tape audio content from any sound source within your Mac. Even though it comes with several flaws, my belief is that it's worth a try. The app is very easy to handle, offers quality output, and comes with a fair price.
