Legend of Keepers DLC

Legend of Keepers: Return of the Goddessis a premiumrole-playinggame for PCs developed by Goblinz Studios and Tavrox Games. It's a new DLC for thedungeon managerroguelike, Legend of Keepers. It comes with plenty of new things, including more missions, items, and monsters to utilize.

Much likeLegend of Keepers: Soul SmugglersandLegend of Keepers: Feed the Trolls, Legend of Keepers: Return of the Goddess builds upon the base game withmore content. The introduction ofa new masteralso allows for new gameplay possibilities as players try their best to protect their dungeons from intruders.

A new dungeon master

Legend of Keepers was an interesting release, offering players a combination of RPG and strategy gameplay with some roguelike elements thrown in. However, one of its critiques was its simple and repetitive combat. The developer has since strived to fill those gaps with subsequent DLCs that aim to add more content to the base game, and Legend of Keeper: Return of the Goddess is one of them.

The main highlight in this latest DLC is the new master based on the Egyptian goddess, Toeris. Her skill tree is quite varied but mainly revolves around "fear." There's even one that rewards you with gold when enemies run away. Keeping in line with the theme, you also get 10 mummified monsters at your service along with traps and artifacts.

The most notable addition in this DLC is the Sarcophagi with abilities revolving around fear again. They are also invulnerable for a few turns, making them quite effective at lowering enemy morale early on. Now, despite all the new additions, the game still suffers from the occasionally repetitive combat and dull moments. This is a step in the right direction, but it could still use more.

A bit better

Legend of Keepers: Return of the Goddess does an admirable job of addressing the shortcomings of the base game with more content and gameplay variety. That said, though, it's still not a big leap for the game in general. If you're a fan of the original, this is a nice addition to the series. Otherwise, it's basically more of the same experience.
