Nowadays, with the great advances in communications, developers can sell their software products to consumers from all the world. Nevertheless, in many cases, this can be prevented by the language barrier. Lingobit Localizer is a program that lets you localize your software, work with translators, and manage your localization processes easily.
The program has a wizard that will walk you through the project creation process. First, you need to select the file you want to localize. This can be an .exe file, a .dll, or any file that can be opened with Windows' notepad. Then, you can select the source and target languages. It is important to note that the program does not actually translate the file, but only shows you automatically the resources available to translate. Thus, you will need to have a good knowledge of both the source and target languages, or work with professional translators.
The program also eases the process of working with translators by allowing you to set the elements you want to be translated, add comments, and estimate the translation amount. You can also send a translation kit to a translator, and receive and apply his/her translation to your program.
In general, the program is easy to use, and there are flash tutorials you can use to learn more. Nevertheless, it is only for specialized users and not for the casual ones, as implied by the cost of the program. You can choose among three different versions of the program: Standard, Professional, or Enterprise, each with a different price tag.
You can use the shareware version during 90 days. If you find the program useful and intend to use it longer, then you will need to purchase a license that, as I've said, is rather costly.
