Live Subtitles is a presentation tool that lets you add texts and images to a video feed. It is incredibly simple, yet it could be very useful for anyone who needs to add a text to a live presentation, event or a screencast. When you launch the application, you will see a white screen. This will be your canvas. You can go to the Preferences window from the menubar, from where you can customize the canvas. Here, you will be able to add images and choose the size, font color, and background color of your text, along with its position on the screen. You can also add images. The app allows you to choose in what screen you want to display the text. This comes in handy when you want to use the tool on your second monitor, or projector, or when you want to send the video signal to a video mixer. After you are done with customizing the application, you can go back to the white screen and start typing.
There is a nice video demonstration on the developer's website. It showcases one of the many uses that you can give to this application. In it, they add a text overlay to a video feed, like the ones you often see on the TV news. With Live Subtitles, you can accomplish the same results without expensive equipment.
