Mac DVD Ripper Pro is an application for Mac OS X that allows you to rip and convert movies from your DVDs into other video formats. Also, you can make backups for your DVDs or compress videos for making them viewable on devices like iPod, iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and many more.
The user interface is clear and well organized. When you start the program for the first time you're welcomed with a Quick Start screen that displays the program's characteristics and give you access to its main features. Also, you'll find a link to an online tutorial.
The program works only with DVD disks so you can't use it for DVD folders or ISO files. You can transfer the complete DVD to your Mac, allowing you to keep other files like pictures and bonuses, or you can keep only the main movie and it will save you space and time. Using the feature "Rip and Convert" the program will compress your video into the mpeg4 format without any quality loss and the result will be much smaller and you'll be able to use it on any media player or device.
