MacX Free DVD to PSP Converter for Mac is a free DVD ripper. It can be used to convert your DVD movies into files that you can play on your Playstation Portable or any other device that supports the MPEG-4 or H.264 formats. You can load your movies from the discs themselves or from a folder on your hard drive, if you copied DVD files to the hard drive manually.
Once a DVD movie is loaded, you can manually select the DVD titles that you want to convert. By default, the main title will be selected. You can check the titles that you want to convert and uncheck those that you don't want to convert.
At the bottom of the screen, you will see the conversion settings. There are also a few different tabs. The first one, "To PSP", lets you select one of six conversion profiles, three of which use H.264 and, the rest, MPEG-4. Then you have "To MP4", which is a more general alternative. This tab doesn't have any conversion profiles, but you can change the conversion settings manually, including bitrate, resolution and aspect ratio. The last tab, "To Music", can be used to convert DVD titles into MP3 files.
Avid Media Composer now supports Xsan, StorNext and NFS-based storage with SAN Fusion 1.5, allowing project and media sharing like Unity or ISIS.
