MacX Free iTunes Ripper for Mac is a DVD conversion tool. This "ripper" can be used to convert your DVD movies so that you can import them into iTunes. As you may know, the devices that sync with iTunes don't have the best input format support. If a file can't be imported into iTunes, then your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch won't be able to play it natively. This application makes sure that it isn't a problem. When you load a DVD movie, either from the disk itself or from a folder on your hard drive, the application will present a list of DVD titles to you. These are the files that make up your movie. You can simply select the ones that you want to convert. Usually, the longest title houses the movie. At the bottom of the screen, you will find three tabs. These are the conversion options. If you select the first one, the app will optimize the conversion process so that your files play great on iTunes. The second and third tabs do the same but for the iPhone and iPod Touch. These are conversion profiles optimized for those devices. There are different models available. For example, from the "to iPhone" tab, you can select a profile for the iPhone 3G, 3GS, and the iPhone 4. Newer models like the iPhone 4S and the iPhone 5 don't have conversion profiles, which tells me the app hasn't been updated in a while.
There isn't a video editor available, but you can trim your videos by setting start and end times manually.
