As with the original games, your job is to catch and train Pokémon to use in battles against rival trainers. You can visit various different locations, collect items, and make sure your magical menagerie is up for the tasks you will be facing.
Magical Menagerie has a much smaller world than the official games, one which can be navigated from a map screen rather than through the long process of walking and exploring. Fans who enjoy the travelling aspect of the Pokémon series may find this disappointing, but those who are interested more in monster combat will appreciate the battles that Magical Menagerie has to offer.
