ManyCam allows you to manage video streams from various sources, including not only webcams but also IP cameras, ManyCam Mobile, media files, YouTube URLs, your desktop and even gameplay. The program allows you to switch between different sources and enhance the resulting video by adding effects. It comes in particularly handy when you need to use several chat messengers simultaneously, broadcast video and make screen captures.
The tool has a well-designed interface, which is appropriate for any kind of user. There is a convenient and easy way to add new sources, which can then be customized from the right-side panel. For instance, you can pick the desired video resolution and frame rate as well as adjust audio parameters.
The program can record video from any of the sources and save the resulting footage in MP4, AVI and GIF formats. Likewise, you can set output directories and create file-naming rules. In addition, it comes with a very long list of effects, such as overlays, transitions, and backgrounds, and many more can be downloaded from the developer’s website.
I was generally pleased by this software. Yet, I cannot help feel bothered whenever it needs to download additional modules, which may be a nuisance if you are not connected to the Internet at the moment.
To conclude, ManyCam is one of the nicest programs of its type I have tried. It lets you share video signals with others through various software tools. The product’s basic features can be used for free; however, you should upgrade it the Standard or Studio versions in order to use the most advanced features, increase the number of available sources and use motion detection.
