Marble is an advanced educational program which helps you improve your geography knowledge by providing you with useful information regarding stats and locations from our planet, as well as from the Moon. This application will also guide you in establishing routes from any location to a desired destination point.
The interface is simple and intuitive, so any users can easily find their way around this application, whether they are professionals or beginners. On the left side of the screen you will find all the utilities you need in order to gain the information you want.
You will be able to adjust the map view according to your needs. You will be able to choose from three main types of projection: Globe, Flat Map or Mercator.
The Navigation tool offers an effective built-in search engine which helps you locate any place from the globe by simply entering the keywords. In just a few seconds you will notice that the pointer will be located exactly on the city/country/area you looked for.
An advantage of using this program is the fact that it helps you build any route by simply entering the departure and destination coordinates.
The application comes with a map legend, which offers useful information regarding the map symbols. This tool is very important due to the fact that there might be users that aren't able to comprehend certain symbols.

The Marble library released alongside is not binary compatible with the one shipped with KDE 4.6 (Marble 1.0).
Binaries for the Nokia N900 are already available in the extras-testing repository.
