Mars WiFi lets you create a wireless hotspot, which allows sharing a single Internet connection with other Wi-Fi enabled devices. The program is characterized by its extremely simplified interface, which allows you to start hotspot services with just a click of a button. It has two tabs: the first of them lets you set a connection name and its access password. The second tab, in turn, allows monitoring connected devices and even create a blacklist.
Some additional settings are also available from the menu. In this respect, you can set the application to start automatically with the system. Moreover, it is possible to pick your desired sharing mode and Wi-Fi frequency.
However, its ease of use has its downsides as well. Thus, you may feel that this tool does not allow you to monitor Internet usage as you would like. In addition, it does not trigger any alert when unauthorized devices are trying to access your hotspot.
In general, this tool can make buying additional hardware unnecessary. Not only that, it saves you the effort of configuring a router, which is not always an easy thing to do. You should know, however, that Windows lets you share an Internet connection without the need of third-party software, but this is probably too difficult for most common users.
