Enable console playback of songs from your iTunes library. Check the connection between devices using Mac as a mediator and enter authentication data, and navigate through the proper channels. Additionally, enable managing iPhoto or Aperture photo libraries and slideshows.
MediaLink is an app that lets you stream content to your Playstation 3. This is one of Nullriver's best applications. It works similarly to Connect360 for the Xbox 360, but the Playstation 3 allowed them to add more features to their application. Basically, MediaLink lets you share your music, movies and photos with your PS3 over your home network. Setting up the application is really easy, and in most cases, it will work when you start the service. The thing is that sometimes it's hard to get PS3 to find the MediaLink service in the network.
Some of the nice features that MediaLink offers you are iTunes integration, HD photos and HD video streaming, and on-the-fly transcoding. MediaLink will send your iTunes songs and even your playlists to your PS3 and browsing them is quite easy. It will also let you enjoy your photos in all of their HD glory on the big screen. Unlike Connect360, this app supports HD formats, like MKV. It will also convert formats that are not supported on the fly to send them to your PS3.
My experience with MediaLink has been good. When I had a Playstation 3, I was able to setup the app and enjoy my content on the PS3 without any problems. Nullriver keeps supporting this app, even today, so you should be able to get help if something goes wrong.
