This comprehensive movie and music organizer designed specifically for avid collectors and supports a wide range of file formats. The tool encompasses an MP3 tag editor for both ID3v1 and ID3v2, an AAC tag editor for M4A/M4P files, an OGG tag editor for OGG and FLAC files, and many others.
MediaMonkey is a media player that lets you play audio or video files. Besides this main function, the program can convert audio files or burn CDs. It supports lots of formats, such as .mp3, .aac, .ogg, .wma, .flac, .mpc, .wav, .cda, .avi, .mp4, .mpeg, .wmv, and so on.
The application has a well-structured interface. The main window is nicely split into several areas, allowing you to use the program more efficiently. When you first open the program, it provides a helping wizard which gives you clues for creating a library. Here you would find all the audio files organized according to genre, artist, and album. On the left side, you can see a playlist that displays the songs that you are playing.
The Properties tab gives you additional information such as the classification, lyrics, artwork, and virtual CD of a file. It also allows you to create and edit tags for each file. An option that I personally like is the one that organizes and renames all the video and audio files stored in your computer simultaneously; this way you will find them automatically arranged into folders and filenames according to their title, album, and artist. This feature is very useful for users who have a large collection of songs and movies. Yet, this option requires the program’s gold version.
The tool lets you even download files from the Internet. All you need to do is to enter the appropriate link. Besides these options, you can adjust the volume level, sync the tool with your iPhone/iPad/iPod, or burn CDs, DVDs, and BDs.
In conclusion, this is a well-build program that offers lots of useful options. I like that you can use it with ease and that it works very smoothly. The only thing that I identified as a drawback is that the program can’t load subtitles for video files.

An option that I personally liked is the one that organizes and renames all the video and audio files from my computer. This function arranges the files into folders and file names according to their title, album or artist. It can be very handful for users who have a big collection of songs and movies. Unfortunately this option requires the program’s gold version.
