Access and analyze materials in the DICOM format for medical analysis. View, zoom in and out, flip or rotate the image for better research and assessment of the content. Adjust contrast and saturation in real time. Work with structural presets like skull, lung, abdomen, mediastinum, bone or spine.

MicroDicom is a Windows utility for viewing DICOM medical files. The program also gives you access to various editing tools, an option to print DICOM files directly from its interface, and the ability to convert the imported data to a wide range of formats.

You can import individual DICOM files or directories containing medical images. The utility will allow you to preview the pictures one by one or in slideshow mode. It also provides you with the list of tags correspondent to each image, showing patient name, age, weight, etc.

Another important advantage is that it allows you to annotate DICOM files and measure distances on the loaded pictures. You can also apply various image effects, resize or rotate images, and so much more.

My only issue with this utility is that it supports only 2 video formats when it comes to converting DICOM files (WMV and AVI). Still, these formats are popular and compatible with a wide range of video players and editors.

All in all, MicroDicom proves to be a smart solution for viewing, editing, and converting DICOM files on your Windows PC. Plus, it comes without a price.
