Microsoft OneNote is a utility that helps you keep track of your daily assignments, important notes, and to-do lists from one place. The program is packed with an interface that's pretty similar to the one you get from other popular Microsoft products, such as Word or PowerPoint, where all of the built-in tools are listed on their toolbars.

You will need to use a Microsoft account in order to work with the program on your Mac. After you log into your account, the utility starts syncing data between its records and your account data. So, details like notes or to-dos are automatically imported.

You have access to a lot of editing tools which help you organize your notes, attach files from your local drives (images, text documents, etc.), highlight important content, etc.

Furthermore, you can print or export the stored information. Sadly, Microsoft OneNote supports only one output format when exporting data: PDF. Another disadvantage is the fact that it occasionally runs slow and uses many CPU resources.

Still, Microsoft OneNote might prove to be of good use if you're dealing with a busy schedule and wish to easily keep track of your to-dos and notes. It might also come in handy to those who want to organize research material and collaborate with other users on their ongoing projects.
