Midnight Mysteries: Devil on the Mississippi is the sequel to 'Midnight Mysteries: Salem Witch Trials. Like its precursor, it weaves a tale of dark fantasy out of elements of American history. The story is set in the Mississippi, and involves the main character being confronted by the ghost of Mark Twain. The player must delve into the life of the celebrated author and help solve centuries-old mysteries in which he was embroiled.
To solve the game's mysteries, you will have to take part in a series of hidden object puzzles. These will be familiar to fans of the genre, and involve searching for listed objects amongst various cluttered environments. Once you have found the correct objects, they will serve as clues that will advance the plot and move you one step closer to ending the mystery.
