MiniDrivers is a free racing game, which combines Formula One-style cars and tracks with the kind of arcade gameplay associated with the likes of Mario Kart and Micro Machines. The game has a variety of different modes to explore, including a season mode, where players compete to become world champion, and an online tournament mode, where players can compete with their friends in weekly challenges.
The tracks and cars in the game are based on real-life counterparts, including iconic Formula One cars from the past, which were driven by legendary racers like Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna. Moreover, there are 35 different tracks to race on, while the races themselves are livened up by the inclusion of power-ups and other pick-up items, which can have a drastic impact on the outcome of the race.
MiniDrivers does suffer from occasional problems with the responsiveness of its controls, which can be frustrating, while progress can be slow for players unwilling to invest in any of the in-app purchases. Nevertheless, the game offers an enjoyable racing experience, especially when compared with other free racing games on the market, and the variety of modes provides it with decent longevity.
