Miro Video Converter is a tiny and nicely designed conversion tool that allows you to transform nearly any video file into MP4, WebM, or Ogg Theora files, so that you can watch them in your Apple or Android smartphone and in various other portable devices. It supports batch conversion, and it allows you to customize some output parameters.

The program comes in a small yet functional interface where you can drag and drop any number of input video files to create your own conversion list. The output formats available have been embedded into useful profiles that refer to specific devices, such as the Apple suite of products (iPod, iPhone, and iPad), various Android smartphones and other devices from Samsung, HTC, Motorola and Sanyo, together with specific profiles for Kindle Fire and PSP. Alternatively, you can select the desired output codec directly and use the settings provided to customize the size and quality of the resulting video. You can also use Miro to extract the audio stream of your video files, and save it as an MP3 or an Ogg Vorbis audio file.

Finally, it is important to note that Miro Video Converter supports various Ingest video formats for the output – such as Prores and AVC Intra – for both standard and High-Definition video.
